Wake up and smell the bacon
Author: Jonathan Warren
A ringing alarm clock is the sound many of us choose to rouse us out of bed, others meanwhile prefer to wake up to the sound of the radio, or even using a light alarm.
Now a New York designer has added an extra option to those looking for a reliable alarm to wake them from slumber – the Wake n Bacon.
Ten minutes before you are due to wake up the clock turns on and cooks frozen bacon rashers using halogen light bulbs. A built in fan is then used to waft the smell of sizzling bacon around the room to wake you up.
The Wake n Bacon may be just the gadget for X Factor star Lucie Jones, who recently told the mirror: “There's nothing better than waking up to the smell of bacon cooking, especially when someone else is making it for you.”
